Controller fault diagnosis in Dublin

The controller manages power between the battery, motor, display, throttle and sensors. A scooter that cuts out, shows errors, will not drive or behaves unpredictably needs systematic diagnosis before any controller is replaced.

Symptoms we investigate

  • No drive despite a charged battery
  • Jerking, intermittent power or unexpected cut-outs
  • Controller overheat or visible damage
  • Error codes linked to throttle, hall sensor or communication faults
  • Water ingress, burnt connectors or damaged wiring

Why parts should not be guessed

Controllers can look identical while using different voltage, current limits, connectors, firmware or communication protocols. Fitting the wrong part may damage other systems.

Lifty does not promise that every controller is economically repairable. When component-level repair is unsuitable, replacement may be recommended subject to parts availability.

Does an error code prove the controller has failed?

No. Displays, motors, brakes, throttles, wiring and batteries can produce similar symptoms.

Can a higher-current controller simply be installed for more speed?

Not safely by assumption. Battery discharge limits, motor heat, wiring, brakes, frame and local-use rules all matter.
