Dual 900W brushless motors meet a large 60V 37.1Ah Samsung 21700 battery. The Pro is the endurance member of the family: more battery, hydraulic brakes according to current dealer specifications, and enough mass to make upstairs storage a workout nobody requested.
Best for: long-range buyers who prioritise battery capacity and hydraulic braking.

Rovoron R5
The R5 keeps the dual 900W layout and 60V platform but uses a smaller 20.8Ah battery and mechanical disc brakes. It is lighter, less expensive and far easier on the wallet—although at roughly 40.8kg, “light” remains a word best used comparatively.
Best for: riders seeking the R5 platform at the lower purchase price.

KuKirin G4
The G4 brings 11-inch tubeless tyres, front and rear suspension and a wide stance. Its single 2,000W rated motor keeps the drivetrain simpler than the dual-motor rivals.
Best for: larger-tyre stability and a substantial scooter feel.

KuKirin G2 Master
Two 1,000W rated motors, a 60V 20.8Ah battery and 10-inch pneumatic tyres give the G2 Master strong acceleration in a more manageable package.
Best for: riders seeking dual-motor punch and balanced size.

Ausom DT2 Pro
Dual 1,100W rated motors, a 52V 23.4Ah battery, hydraulic disc brakes with E-ABS and dual swingarm suspension form a very complete package. The advertised range is an ideal-condition ceiling, not a binding promise from the Dublin weather department.
Best for: battery capacity, hydraulic braking and security features.

Marco's honest verdict
Choose the R5 Pro for its large Samsung battery and longer claimed range. Choose the R5 for the sharper entry price. Choose the G4 for 11-inch stability. Choose the G2 Master for dual-motor balance. Choose the DT2 Pro if battery capacity and hydraulic brakes lead the checklist.
Never buy a scooter because one number shouts louder than the rest. A huge range figure is useless if the scooter lives downstairs and you live upstairs. The winner is the machine you can safely store, maintain and enjoy.
Fast figures demand calm decisions
Several scooters here are high-performance machines. A 25km/h limiter alone does not automatically make a vehicle legal for Irish public roads; power, weight, construction and current regulations also matter. Verify the exact model and configuration before riding.
- Wear a properly fitted helmet and visible protective equipment.
- Check tyre pressure, brakes, steering, lights and folding locks before every ride.
- Slow down for wet surfaces, bends, pedestrians and Dublin's occasional surprise pothole.
- Use high-performance modes only where legally permitted and appropriate.
Marco rule number one: arrive smiling. A dramatic launch is less impressive when your helmet is still at home.
What is still unpublished?
Minimotors has not yet released a complete R5-series technical manual. IP rating, maximum rider weight, charging time, controller amperage, dimensions, climbing angle, brake brand and rotor size, BMS details, torque figures and official acceleration times remain unconfirmed. We will update them only when reliable documentation becomes available.
