Frame and structural assessment
Lifty inspects electric scooter frames, stems, folding joints, decks, welds and mounting points after impacts, unusual movement or visible damage. Structural safety is assessed before cosmetic work or replacement parts are considered.
Reasons to stop riding
- Cracks around welds, hinge or suspension mounts
- Bent stem, deck or wheel alignment
- Folding mechanism that will not lock securely
- Movement that remains after fasteners are correctly tightened
- Damage following a collision or heavy impact
Not every damaged frame is safely repairable. Lifty may recommend frame or scooter replacement when repair cannot restore dependable structural integrity.
Assessment process
The workshop checks the damage area, connected components, fasteners and alignment. Welding or fabrication is only considered where material, access and a suitable repair method can be established.
Can a cosmetic crack be ignored?
No crack should be assumed cosmetic without inspection, especially near a weld, hinge, stem or suspension mount.
Will tightening the folding clamp fix every wobble?
No. Wear, bearings, hinge parts, stem damage or frame deformation may be involved.
See suspension repair or arrange a workshop assessment.
