Upgrade from cable to hydraulic braking
A compatible hydraulic brake upgrade can improve lever feel, modulation and control on selected electric scooters. Lifty Labs checks mounting points, rotor size, hose routing, electrical cut-off requirements and available clearance before approving a kit.
Who may benefit
- Riders with heavy or higher-performance scooters
- Customers experiencing frequent cable adjustment
- Riders who want smoother, more progressive braking
- Scooters with a documented compatible hydraulic kit
Compatibility comes first
Not every frame, lever, calliper mount or controller accepts the same brake system. An upgrade may require adapters, rotors, hoses or electronic brake sensors, and some scooters should retain their original system.
More powerful brakes do not shorten every stop automatically. Tyres, surface, speed, rider technique and correct bedding-in remain essential.
Will hydraulic brakes need maintenance?
Yes. Pads and rotors still wear, and hydraulic systems can require bleeding, fluid service and leak inspection.
Can Lifty quote before seeing the scooter?
Lifty can give initial guidance from the exact model and photographs, but final approval depends on a compatibility inspection.
