Lifty Labs waterproofing is a model-specific service intended to improve resistance to rain and road spray around selected entry points, enclosures, cables and connectors. It does not make an electric scooter submersible.
What may be assessed
- Deck, controller and cable entry points
- Display, throttle and switch areas
- Charging port covers and vulnerable connectors
- Motor-cable exits and lighting connections
- Existing corrosion or previous water ingress
Never ride through flood water, submerge a scooter or pressure-wash it. No waterproofing service removes every water-ingress route or overrides manufacturer exclusions.
Before waterproofing
Existing water damage, corrosion or unsafe modifications must be addressed first. The exact treatment and claimed service level depend on model construction and workshop scope.
Does IPX5 or IPX6 mean waterproof?
No. These terms describe resistance under defined test conditions, not permission for immersion, deep puddles or pressure washing.
Will waterproofing protect wear items?
No. Bearings, tyres, brakes and seals still need inspection and maintenance.
